1 Book A Month | Vol. 1

An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.

-Benjamin Franklin

 Hello loves!

How are you?

I hope your summer is going amazing and that you are enjoying every second of it!

I recently thought about a new series for my website to create a little diversity from makeup related posts and it’s about books! I was thinking about writing a post every month on a book that I enjoyed reading. Eventually if you guys enjoy this it could be more than 1 book a month!

I’m going to kick start this series with a book that was offered to me by one of my dearest friend; Empower Yourself by Myranda Kerr

Before this book she wrote Treasure Yourself which I heard is quite good! And before we even start taking about what’s inside, let see the outside. Both of her books have a special fabric that is very soft and pleasant to the touch. And the design is very appeasing and gives out good vibes.

The book is filled with quotes and positive affirmations rather than being a narration.

Here are a few quotes that I liked and made me think…

”When you Empower Yourself, you …

You understand that some decisions need to be thought through first. But then, you take decisive action.

Empowering Affirmation…

I do what I need to do on time, and on purpose”

”When you Empower Yourself, you …

You live in a world of push and pull, cause and effect. You understand that what you put out comes back to you, so you create create good karma through positive thoughts, actions, and energy.

Empowering Affirmation…

I respect the laws of cause and effect and live my life accordingly”

Most of the quotes are known by a lot of people, there is almost no new information per say. But what is so good about the book, is his role of a daily reminders to be positive, have self-esteem and be courageous. It reminds you of the tools you can use to empower yourself to become the greatest version of yourself.

This book is quite an easy and fast read (I should know, I’m the slowest reader you can meet) but you should always go back to it. Read a few pages from time to time to get a push of positivity and get the inspiration you are seeking for.

I’m definitely keeping this book close to me and will be reading it every time I will feel the need to.

If you read the book yourself, give me your favorite quote in the comment section; and if you didn’t read this book yet, what are you waiting for?

Big kisses and we’ll talk soon! 🙂
